Empowering Women and Children
Building stronger communities through empowerment and support
Founded in 2015, Women's Association Forum Inc emerged from a simple yet powerful vision: to create a welcoming space where women and children could access the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. What started as a small community initiative has grown into a comprehensive organization serving hundreds of families across the Chicagoland area.
Over the years, we've expanded our programs to meet the evolving needs of our community. From educational support and job placement services to health and wellness programs, we've built a holistic approach to community empowerment. Our dedication to excellence and genuine care for those we serve has earned us recognition as the Best of BusinessRate 2025 Non-profit Organization.
Today, WAF continues to be a beacon of hope and support for women, children, and families throughout Des Plaines, Niles, Skokie, Morton Grove, Glenview, Mount Prospect, Harwood Heights, and Norridge. We remain committed to our founding principle: empowering every individual who walks through our doors.
In 2024, we extended that same care to our community's older adults through WAF Senior Services — our in-home senior care arm, helping seniors across Chicagoland maintain their independence and quality of life at home.
To give a community and resource center for our women and children where they can grow and learn together through programs, resources, events, and personal development workshops.
To build a thriving community where every woman and child has access to the support, education, and opportunities they need to reach their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.
